I am changing over to hydroboost in my coupe (#340) and need some help. I have a 94 pedalbox (V6 car) and have a problem with the pushrod length.
I bought your aluminum adapter and have it mounted, but this spaces the HB unit too far forward and moves the brake pedal forward about 4". With it in this position the brake pedal hits the foot box aluminum pretty early in the throw. The stock HB pushrod is just too short when using the adapter. The pushrod is crimped into the HB unit and I am afraid of damaging it by taking it out to use the adjustable pushrod I already have.
I have also tried mounting the HB unit directly to the firewall and in this position the pushrod length is very close to fitting. I could probably grind/file a little off the inner hole in the pushrod and make it work.
So what is the proper way to do this?
Is there a way to safely get the stock pushrod out of the HB to use a adjustable pushrod?
Thanks for any help you can give.
Mike
