Usually don't need to do anything with them. Grind smooth on the outside. If an opening or void, make sure nothing's in there (e.g. clay or whatever) and then fill. If you have to grind to clean out, OK. But don't unless you really have to. If in doubt, don't.
Short of damage or some kind of major defect, it's plenty strong. The fact that you can see light through them occasionally is usually due to no gel coat. Not unusual there. Finish on the inside and outside will make them no longer see-through.
For the record, they aren't seams. They are parting lines. There are multiple mold pieces and those lines are where the pieces are joined. Due to the relatively low volume, the Factory Five molds are composite of some kind versus hard tools. So they wear. Typically on the edges. They get worse the more parts are pulled from them. Each of the body pieces (cab, fenders, etc.) are one piece layups. Other than the pieces that have an inner shell, where the inner and outer sides are bonded together, there are no individual pieces or seams.

Thanks for the info. When I see clear (no cloth in the lines I worry.
I agree with Edward. I usually spray the inside of the body with black paint so light won't shine through in any areas.
