The way prices have been going lately on FFR cars and all classic "toys", I hope you're not a year too late for your budget.

Good luck with your search, as you'll be glad you went for it.

Certainly in the realm of the possible. I got mine about 6 months ago for that. It's a challenge car, it has dings, and of course was raced a lot. That said, it is an extremely well sorted car. It's been endurance raced, it's set track speed records, etc. If it was gonna break it broke and was fixed and fixed to not break as easily again. Only thing is it's got a healthy amount of rock chips and some places in the fenders that had some car kissing on the race track. The body just need a repaint and it would be pretty as new again. So ya, you can get a well sorted Cobra for that. It's not going to be a winning show car with a 427FE and IRS... but ya.. doable. It will take some patience. I got mine by calling every FFR builder on the east coast. Originally, my idea was to find a partially built rolling chassis that I could finish, then luck hit with this cobra that I bought being 100% ready to drive and race! But yes, Lickity-Split is correct, prices sure have been rising, but even so this one just sold on BAT in that price range:

And a lot go for $42k ish.. So a tad more budget but dang close.

    Good luck!

Here is one on eBay -- don't know anything about the car, but current bid is just over $30,000.
