Paint chipping at the sides just in front of rear wheels

7000 miles in about 15 months - love every one of them. Have quite a bit of tiny paint dings on about the lowest 10 inches, in front of the rear wheels for about as many inches forward. Wondering if anyone else has dealt with this? I don't have the lower side ground effect plates but wondering if that would do the job. If I made my own, how far out to have them from the body.

    Thoughts?

I have the same issue. I built side plates last year and they seem to help some, but new marks are still showing up. I think a clear paint protection film might be the way to go.

Here is a picture of mine caused by rubber chunks flying of front wheels.

Some mud flaps on the front wheels might help.

Paint protection film is the real solution. It comes in different thickness and stiffness levels. I’ve seen some pretty thick, stiff stuff put in that exact spot with good results.

    I’m with Bob
A well tailored flap will be the best way to minimize flying rocks.
I have side boards but not as wide as FF makes ‘cause it makes it hard to get out without stepping on them.

Art, Consider mixing a bucket of paper mache' from newsprint, and blob it on the fenders.

With your Art tistic skill and insight, simulate "fenderbergs" or "slushcycles" from winter driving. Two coats of clear should seal them in place.
If you also fabricate them behind the tires, they will certainly improve aerodynamics and fuel economy.

Paper mache, hmmm, trying to remember what I made with that when about 10. Probably was a halloween mask...
