Got out early today to beat the heat and because I have Doctor appointments and such. I was able to trim hood for initial fitment. I use a 1/8" tape then trace with a Sharpie. Then use a belt sander to the line. I also mocked up scoop and cut hole in hood.

Finished up the hood today. Opens and closes fine. I installed the Replicaparts radiator panel that the owner bought. I had to trim a-lot to get it to fit and add some of the FFR panels to have a good fit to the body. I also mounted and plumbed the oil cooler.

Today I worked on the front. I installed and wired up the front lights, Installed front top radiator cover and mocked up front splash shields. I will coat them with black truck bed liner before final install. I also finished up trunk. Unfortunately the trunk bulb seal came apart like the other bulb seal. I will have to order some from McMaster-Carr.

Trimmed and mounted both doors. Finished up the passenger one. Opens and closes like a dream. Not sure who is doing the QC at FFR. This is my 6th MK4 and the steel insert on both doors is not in the correct position. I can only get 3 screws in each side for the latch. I will have to come up with some sort of fix for this. Never had this happen before on any of the 5 previous builds. All part of the fun, LOL.

Finished up drivers door. I had to add metal to inside door so all 4 screws had metal to grip to for latch. Door panels really make the door, IMO! I also slotted the underside of the body so proper door alignment can be obtained by body shop down the road. I installed riv-nuts in frame for S/S screws.

The new bulb seal from McMaster-Carr came late yesterday. I installed it and made up my own trunk prop rod. I use some Velcro to hold when not in use. Not sure why FFR does not include on. 33 has one. I installed original steering wheel. Also painted the Replicaparts radiator surround as per customer. Took car out for a road test after setting up ride height. Came back and 90 degree coolant fittings on heater bypass hose both leak. I ordered 2 new ones from NAPA. Due here later today.

Replaced the 2 leaking coolant 90 degree fittings. All good now. The owner is going to black out all chrome on car . So I am not mounting side mirror. Florida law states car must have 2 side mirrors, he is going to buy 2 black ones. I cleaned up car and vacuumed it out. Double checked everything. All is good to deliver next week to owner. I will be taking some time off after this build to go camping and traveling. It has been an enjoyable build. My first Coyote build. I am impressed with the performance of the Coyote.

Delivered MK4 to BA and his son's today. They were very excited and pleased. BA took it around the block and was all smiles. Mission accomplished, LOL. I forgot to take pictures. My bad!
