I'm sure it will be a real crowd pleaser Bill.
Not that anyone would have a clue as to how much blood, sweat, and tears, you have had to endure to get it to this point

Bill,
Good to see you've got the car out on the road now. You and i started about the same time, me back in March 2010 and I've been on the road for a least a year or a bit more.
Your attention to detail over the years has been impressive.
Enjoy, George
Beautiful build Bill, are you running spin tech mufflers on your 289?

All set this morning for another car show. Diane entered the Challenger and I entered the cobra. Unfortunately neither of us won anything. But we had a blast . I knew the Cobra would attract a lot of admirers and it did. But I was surprised as to the number of people that were interested in the Challenger.
This car show was Kids Against Cancer and all the money goes to fighting cancer in kids. The pinnacle for me today was when a mom asked me if I would start up my car for her 7 year old son who is blind and suffers from terminal brain cancer. I said absolutely.
He stood there and grinned bigger than anything you can imagine when I started it up and gave the throttle a nudge. Afterwards I asked the mom if her son woukd like to a sit in the car. She asked him and he said “Yes!”.
So I lifted him up and sat him in the driver’s seat. I placed his hands on the steering wheel and he made believe he was driving. There wasn’t a dry eye around the car.
Afterwards his parents thanked me and the young lad squeezed my arm in thanks. Better than any trophy.

First off, phenomenal build, I’ve read through your build thread more than once and the attention to detail is inspiring in many ways, although way beyond the level that I’m planning for my upcoming build. I can only imagine that building something that has that level of impact on someone, must be better than any award. That Challenger is pretty cool too!
Your car looks great!
289 FIA Complete Kit, ordered September 2021, received February 2022
My plan is to build a tribute to CSX2345 as it raced in Europe in 1964 (with a few personal touches). Follow along as I fulfill a lifetime dream.
