Misc parts called out on FF Parts list & options sheet?
As many of you know, I have a build tread going for my '35 truck (link in my signature below). I'm in my planning stage and buying what I can before the FF kit is delivered.
I'll have a series of these "Specific Question" treads so to keep topics separate.
This Thread is regarding the Gen 3 Coyote.... specifically, FF's Parts list & Options sheet (see pic below). The four part I'm still unsure of are all circled in blue pen with a blue question mark.
- Coyote Oil Pan - with this listed, I'm assuming the OEM oil pan mush be changed? I've seen in some pictures and the FF install manual, the Coyote has a Moroso rear sump oil pan.... what part number is the Moroso if needed?
- Coyote Oil pan Pick-up... part number?
- Oil Pan Sensor plug... part number?
- Starter Brand and part number?
I'm trying to avoid buying duplicate parts.
And YES, I've asked several folks from FF via email and have yet to hear from them. So I thought I'd reach out to those with real world experience.
Thanks in advance,
Mark

Quoted from a post I found from Paul "edwardb": Moroso 20570 is the pan. Two different pick-ups depending on Gen 2 or Gen 3.

I also found this pickup, but will defer to the folks who have experience with the installation of the Gen3 Coyote to confirm if it is the correct part.

I'm not familiar with buying an engine/trans from Factory Five. But are you certain they haven't already swapped the oil pan? For the Coyote, it means the parts listed: Pan, pickup, plug, and for the Gen 3 also a new gasket/windage tray. Approaching $1K for all that stuff. I'd sure check they aren't already swapping it out.
Starter is hopefully the standard Motorcraft Coyote starter. It's a decent piece. For the Hot Rod and Truck, the standard Motorcraft alternator doesn't fit. They use a modified Honda piece that's installed in a different location and orientation with brackets they've designed. Check the Hot Rod Gen 3 Coyote instructions: https://www.factoryfive.com/wp-conte...Rod-rev-1C.pdf.

Hi Paul, Sorry I wasn't clearer. I'm NOT buying the Engine package from FF, but a crate Gen 3 coyote from a 3rd party for my '35 truck. It's a standard Ford Perf crate engine. However, when "reviewing" FF's list, I saw the items I circled that I need more info on.... Therefore, why I was asking for brand and part numbers for the 4 items. I'm all set on the Honda Alternator and will just need FF's custom bracket.
Thanks Mark

OK. Now I get it.
Coyote Oil Pan: Moroso 20570
Coyote Oil pan Pick-up: Moroso 24577 (Gen 3 specific)
Oil Pan Sensor plug: Moroso 22738
You'll also need a BR3Z-6710-A Oil pan gasket/windage tray. Gen 3 Coyote has a composite oil pan with integral gasket.
Starter Brand and part number: Ford Performance 5.0 Starter Kit M-11000-C50. There are other aftermarket brands I believe. But this is the one I've used for my Coyote builds.
Hope that helps.

I have a Honda alternator and bracket for sale if your interested. I have the headers too. removed from a Hotrod project that went through an engine swap before it was ever started.
