    FR 500 wheels MK2 Roadster

I saw a great Black Friday deal on lmr. However, am I correct that on mk2 only 17x9s will fit on all 4 corners? That the 17x10.5 will not fit in back? Also, their website says 1994-2004 front spindles are necessary for front to fit? I believe mine are from an 89 mustang donor. Trying to swap out current 15x9 and 15x10 torq thrust 2s for the 17s. And I’ve seen a lot of roadsters on here have the fr500s.

    Thank you for any thoughts!

You’ll need to modify the sheet metal and shock mount for 10.5” rims to clear on a MKII. Not too complex, but it’s been a long time, so can’t remember the specifics! I’m sure there’s threads on the other forum that can provide some specifics. Definitely worth it!

Search tor “315 mod” on both forums. It will explain the changes to the tubing and aluminum that are necessary to fit the wider wheel and 315/35-17 tires. In front you can use mid 1980s 5 lug Lincoln Mk rotors. They work with your existing Fox spindles, bearings and calipers.

This is a link I had saved, looks like what was done to my car. I assume this is what Jeff was referencing.

I have an mk3, I used the lincoln rotors. Only issue was the center caps. all else was perfect fit. I painted the grease covers and put a little cobra sticker on them. I really like the look. Also Im running 9" wide 17's up front with 245s. Back I understand the mk 3 is different that the 2 but I have the 10.5 17s with 315s. All on the black FR500's. I dont know if this helps at all but I am rooting for you. I did a ton of research prior to putting this package together. Oh changed the rear axles and got the 5 lugs back there. Easy job all the way around.

Thanks for all the info! Probably going to hold off on doing the Black Friday buy until I decide on doing the 315 mod. As always, this forum is very helpful!
