    Drive train angle?

I had a quick question for you guys. What spec do you use for the engine/trans angle in the 33 Hot Rod? It looks like my pinion will be 2-3 degrees up with the body, battery, gas and people. Just want to make sure I don't get past the 7 degrees that the driveshaft can handle. Thanks.

    Hi 1fastsedan,

With respect to the angle of the crankshaft / trans output, the pinion shaft should be angled down by about 2 degrees at ride height. That way, when you're under full torque, the housing will torque upward to become more or less parallel to the drivetrain axis.

    Take care,

    Jason @ FFR

The motor is out of an 07 SRT8 Charger. We ended up with the engine and trans at 2.5 degrees down and the pinion is currently .5 down. Once its together, we'll check it again and add some adjustable upper control arms in the rear (if needed). Thanks again for the help!
