    Air vs Electric Impact tools

General question but what does everyone use/favor for building their Factory Five’s? I m contemplating upgrading to a 1/2” drive DEWALT electric impact wrench but only because I already have a half dozen Dewalt tools that all use the same batteries.
Additionally, do you feel impact wrenches are necessary for a build?

The impact wrench isn't necessary but like anytime working on a car. Makes life easier. I used a Harbor Freight Bauer electric impact for my build. Didn't even use my air tools. Mainly because I found the electric to be just as effective and also most of the tightening operations I did by hand making sure nothing was over torqued. I did a complete build so most things were going to together not coming apart. But it was nice for taking on and off the wheels constantly.

I use my Dewalts for everything I can (today to drill and Sawzall). I also have a Milwaukee rivet gun. Makes things move quicker and less tiring. Necessary, no. Bonus, yes.
