    Hood Lock Bracket Instructions

To those that have purchase the hood lock brackets, I finally finished the instructions for installing them for both a new and existing setup. I hope they are clear. If you have any questions or comments on them, please contact me.

Here is a link to the zip which contains the instructions and templates.

Thanks for those that have purchased. Looking forward to seeing pictures of them installed on your cars.

For those that have not purchased, I only have 17 pairs left.

I have been asked where to purchase the locks. I purchased mine from Rimmer Bros. http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-562116. I don't want to recommend anyone else as I haven't tried purchasing from them. I would recommend that you search on "Triumph 562116" and then picking one that you think will be suitable. Sorry I can't recommend anyone closer.

    Well done Ron.
Paypal was sent to you this afternoon, I ordered the locks, and downloaded your files and I'm ready to install as soon as it all shows up.

Thanks for the information about the company and locks. If anyone has purchased from them or someone else and the service was good, please contact me so I can add it as a resource.

    FYI

Priced them at Rimmer, shipping from England kills the deal. Much less expensive at The Roadster Factory (in Pennsylvania (800) 678-8764) at $36.90 with shipping at $10.25, totaling $47.15. Rimmer's part is less at $30.57 (1/24/2011 rate of exchange at 1.56727) and shipping a whopping $42.89 for a total of $78.46 almost twice as much. That is shipping to the state of Maine, west coast would probably cost more.

Bill the site defaults to an UPS 2 day International type shipping. Mine was about $6 for shipping for standard airmail which will likely take a week or so.

Yeah I was a bit shocked to find the default shipping option was going to make it about 3 times the cost of the parts. Went back and checked the others when I found it.
