    Cooling Fan Temp Setting Opinion

Running stock EFI with 180 thermostat (I know I should be running a 195 thermostat but I like to keep the engine temp a little lower). I'm using the Painless 30111 185/175 temp sensor now and, understandably, the cooling fan turns on and runs all the time when the engine is at operating temp. Is it good practice to set the cooling fan to come on at a higher temp, say on at 195, off at 185?

    Thanks

Yes. Manufacturers typically have the fan(s) come on at 210 - 220. With your 180 deg. thermostat I would set it at about 200. Most vehicles thermostats open at about 195. It should come on constantly when the AC is on if equipped.
