    MK4 Parts Available

    Hello FFR friends!

I have some left over parts from a build project that I can not use for because of the modifications that have been done to the car and chassis.
For instance, the carpet set is brand new and can't be used in my build.
The steering wheel is not getting used at all.
I have extra hood mounting brackets, I upgraded to the original hood style that opens over the front of the car rather than inside the engine compartment.
    Door hinges and latches.
    Hood Latches and Truck Latches.
    Lower Control Arms too.
I am sure there are more, please feel free to ask me for anything you might be looking for.

Am interested in a brake fluid reservoir. If you didn’t use the FFR reservoir that came with the kit I’d like to buy it from you.
    Thanks,
    Charles Mowry

I should have the brake fluid reservoirs. I will look for them and respond back shortly. My build is being done at a shop and everything is there with the builder.

I believe it is a wood steering wheel but can't remember for certain. I will look and get back to you.

I checked out the IG page - sounds like quite the custom build. Can you share more about the changes you made? Any current state pics?

    Thanks,
    Geoff

The changes are many, I used the kit as a starting point and then got out of control with everything else. I have wanted one of these cars since I was 16 and now at the age of 44 I am able to build it the way it I want it to be.

    1. strengthened the chassis by cutting away some of the square tubing in the center section and using 1.25 round tube.
    2. Engine Mounts moved forward to make room for a six speed, had to go with IRS suspension to make that work.
    3. Custom limited slip differential, it acts like a spool when there is load on the tires then disengages or transfers power only when the load on the tire changes. I have been told it's like a sprag, I don't know what that means LOL. All I know is it was developed by Weismann Traction Products.
    4. Lower control arms were customized to allow for wider tires front and rear and wheels were custom made to be spaced out further away to fit from the chassis to fit.
    5. Fiberglasss work was done and redone body was painted twice, the first guy messed it big time.
    6. I had the chassis cross members sleeved with 3" round tube so that the fluid lines have a safer path of travel
    7. I look all over the place for anything custom for these cars and ordered it... door hinges are billet aluminum, hood hinge has been replace with OE style hinge, door and hood latch using quick latch product.
    8. Brakes... AP racing calipers had to have custom brackets, hat and disc made. Coleman racing helped with the hat and disc and my builder Sire Customs, did the work on the brackets.
    9. Tilton racing clutch to go with the all Aluminum, Yates D2 head 413ci Nascar engine
    10. Intake designed by Kinsler fuel injection
    11. Custom gas tank with all Aeromotive pumps filters
    12. Dry sump setup
    13. Hydraboost by Hydratech with wilwood master
    14. We cut out the square tube that attaches the back panels and made a roll bar (underneath the body) that ties the door posts on either side. So were the seat belts go through the body, there is a bar that goes across and drops down and across to the door posts. Make sense?

I am sure I forgot something but that is most of it.
I am working on getting all the photos together so that I can start an IG page dedicated to the car. It seems to be a thing these days. I will post the link as soon as I get everything in order.
