    Custom Dash with Graphite

I created a custom made graphite insert to compliment graphite instrument panel I previously made. This was very trial and error as I had to create the shape from a cardboard template, then create a 3-layer sheet of graphite and epoxy resin. Fitting it exact was the next challenge as I was very meticulous with the shape making sure it fit inside the depression perfectly. Followed by thinning the panel so it would fit flush. The speedometer had a defect in the face and had to be sent back to autometer for repair.

Thank you. I was in the prosthetics industry so carbon graphite and epoxy come easily to me.

Looks fantastic! Do you have any other plans for carbon parts on your build?

As I continue, parts will come to me that would look good made from carbon. My prosthetics company sells this particular type of resin so I can get all I want.
