Do you know anyone who could 3D print AC Ace hood badges?
Hi Folks, Since the only vendor of these items seems to be out of business, is there anyone with a 3D printer and experience who could make either of these?

My Dad had a Dremel pantograph similar to this many years ago. Hood badges being relatively flat I thought abou finding a local biz that makes engraved laminated name tags and see if they could grind one out of flat plastic stock. Dremel.jpg

3D printing those would't be too hard. Finishing them to look metallic and smooth. That'll be the trick.

3D printing it is a horrible idea (as someone who previously had and extensively used a 3d printer). The layer lines would be ugly as sin, and even if you did the work to blend them out and chrome the plastic, the part wouldn’t look good for long. Google “AC emblem” and some options come up.

They’re not out of business. Just won’t communicate or verify anything. Order with caution but I’ve received everything I’ve ordered in the past in a reasonably quick fashion

I can 3D print them. I have a 3D printer that I use for prototype designs.
I have a high end 3D printing company out of New York that can 3D print out of metal.
It's not cheap but I could get an estimate.

could always check with BradC on here, he has a CNC machine that may make a pretty nice metal setup!

It can be done, it's just allot of work to get it there. Proper materials like ASA for durability and the proper finishing technique can make it look like metal. This is the way.
Don't ask me how I know.
