    convert Fuel Injection to Carb

Any one have experience changing the fuel injection to a carb on 94 5.0 Engine?
Seems the harness supplied by FFR doesn't support powering the ECU.
    thanks for any help

If you're referring to the Ford Coyote, you are correct the FFR harness support the ECU. The ECU needs it's own power and it's easy to just run a new circuit for the ECU. Since you state a 94, did you also get the original ECU that was connected to he engine? Also, do lots of research for a Carb conversion.... my OPINION is that's not possible with the variable timing/dual overhead cams.

I'm sort of out of it with wiring - So I have a pullout 94 5.0 Engine with auto trans, all the wiring and ECU. Do I need a new harness to operate the ECU? or provide power only? the FFR harness have extra wiring for that?
    Thanks,

I'm no expert.... but here's my thoughts. I've heard that OEM production cars with ECU are "tied" or "Linked" together... i.e., that need to be connected to work.... like a serial number match? Anyway, you need to find an expert for details. Search Google for some answers or call tech support at Ford Performance. Also, post these questions in the Coyote section of this forum.

    Good luck,

To clarify you are not talking a coyote you have a 5.0L (302) from a 94 mustang? If that is the case yes you can convert to carb. requires a change of the intake manifold and some other items. It is kind of pain to undertake if your only issue is wiring. But what in the wiring is not allowing to hook up to the existing EFI? Did you buy the EFI harness from Factory five? Here is a link to the instructions that should help.

The Hot Rod and 35 Pickup Complete Kit should come with a chassis harness to wire all of your cars lights, blinkers and headlights. The EFI harness for a 94 Mustang would be needed to wire the engine into the chassis harness. An aftermarket harness from Ron Francis, PIMP, Painless or even Summit racing should work. The 94/95 are kind of an odd duck even for the wiring. So you may have to change a couple connectors for the mass air meter, distributor, TPS and throttle body. But it's all doable.
