Can somebody with a completed car or at least a completed interior, take a picture for me of the view of the gauge cluster through the steering wheel from the seated position? I'm working on my Dash gauge layout but I need to see what's visible through the steering wheel when sitting in the car. Thanks!

Please note that there is very little room between the top of the gauge pod and the top of the steering column cover. I've seen a ton of my customers cut holes and install the gauges before they fit the panel to the dash/steering column and cut the holes way too low and there's not room......so make sure you have your dash exactly where you want it (with the body installed), have the steering column exactly where you want it and your steering column trim cover installed and cut/fit the gauge panel so it clears everything BEFORE you start laying out your gauges.

I bought a new gauge panel from FFR since a previous owner cut the holes out for the gauges, that I'm not using. So I plan to use that panel for mock up before final cutting the new one.

These are pretty much my default layouts for the gauges, depending on if you have the Ultralite gauges that primarily shipped with the Gen I kits or the newer (speedhut?) gauges that shipped mostly with the Gen II kits. Note how close the gauges are mounted to the outer perimeter......to the point where you'll probably have to trim a bit of the dash mounting flange out in those areas. But if you don't get them mounted high/outboard enough, you will run out of room for the steering column trim cover.

Shane, what size speed and tach are you using in the bottom panel?

Looks like the OD of the gauge must have been around 3-13/16"? The hole I cut is just under 3-7/8". I use these alum panels in pretty much all of my builds. Instead of cutting the FFR gauge panel to slide down over the steering column, I cut these alum panels to mount the gauges in (custom cut to fit the position of the steering column) and then cut the top part of the FFR panel off and keep the bottom (curved) part all in one piece and trim it to fit the bottom part of the steering column. Makes for a much cleaner look installed.
