Sometimes the world is so small it kinda freaky -- ping MrMustang

So for about the last eight or ten months I've been checking out one red car after another, trying to pin down the red that my Roadster will be. The goal: ArrestMeRed, red-red-red-red-red and no orangey overtones.

On Saturday, I pulled into Home Depot, and as usual parked in the boonies (I HATE DOOR DINGS). As I'm getting out of my truck, a guy in an older SN95 Mustang pulls in and parks a couple rows from me, same thing, out in the boonies. His car was absolutely immaculate, and a knockout shade of red. I'm not really the kind of guy that accosts strangers in a parking lot, but I chased him down, complimented him on the car, and asked if he happened to remember the color code or name of the red.

He said, "No, I don't know...in fact, it's a respray. I had it painted at the Maaco in Pottstown, PA."

Without missing a beat, I said, "Oh, Bill S. painted it for you then..."

He looked at me a little funny, definitely wondering how I knew that. We chatted and it turned to be (I know MrMustang already figured this out) another Bill, who works at Bruce's Speed Shop. Where I was just a couple weeks ago actually.

Well the red was gorgeous, and now I kind of chalk it up to karma that the car gods handed me my color. This was just the strangest couple of coincidences happening on top of each other.

So now, Bill, the big question -- do you have a record of what red you used on his Mustang? What is my final color?

    AJ

Thank you sir. Nice job on the blend, it was a jawdropper on the 'Stang. Do you by any chance have a picture of Bill's car that you can post?

Sure do, but it does not do the color justice.
