Car is flooded won’t start

Car is at body shop and was running fine, they drove it around to get to one area to other and after car was painted it would not start? It always started hard but always started, they are telling me they pulled the plugs and are really wet, they cleaned them up and same thing no start with wet plugs again, I’m going to try changing the plugs tomorrow and have read cleaning the maf with maf cleaner might help as well, is there anything else I can try? I need to get it running to get it on the trailer. Help

Check for spark before you do anything else.

Make sure a fuse isn't blown, or they didn't remove a harness somewhere when painting , etc.

Feul injected motors will run rich from a bad reading from a sesnsor. On other cars, I've seen a rich condition from low voltage, a bad water, or manifold temp sensors, or a bad maf/map sensor. It has to be a bad sensor, givin the fact the tune for the car is a canned tune, in other words you did not change the feul map.
An air leak will cause a lean condition. The plugs may be wet, but it doesn't sound like the problem. Ground one out and see if it sparks, I sapose they could be fouled from bogging it around the shop, I've seen that too.
Hard to tell when you don't have a computer to monitor the different sensors. Check them all make sure they are all hooked up proper. There is a way to check the ohms of the srnsors to see if they are bad. When they do read bad the ecu will defalt to rich rather than lean, to save your motor.

Replace it. There is a thread about this on the other forum.

Also wet plugs are not a problem with these engines. It is from fuel and the way the plugs seal. I have questioned this on the corvette forum before.

Good Idea! If the optima type batteries are allowed to go completely dead something happens and just recharging one is not enough. Jumping one is a good idea. Two in parallel should work.

I usually hit them pretty hard with a higher voltage charger in the beginning of the charge cycle and for a few minutes right at the end, then let them sit on the float/top off Battery Maintainer for a couple of days and they come back.

I have saved a few of them that way.

I have a optima red top that I thought was dead. It would not take a charge. Following the high voltage float schedule seems to have worked. It's only used to run my trailer toung lift and 12v lights so if it charges at all it's a win.
