Video getting me excited
Check out this "New Stratos" video during testing. Wow! The best part is around :29 seconds where it exits a corner like only an MR car can. I can so imagine this car with a burbling turbo EJ20. ;0

I dig the exterior of this "New Stratos". I'm sure the FFR car will obviously have to look different enough to not get into legal issues, but... I like the look and performance.

I wonder how much 'look and feel' suits worry F5 and other kit manufacturers. Obviously, F5 has already successfully defended against one such, brought by a person who has real money with which to hire lawyers. There are many other kits which look a great deal like famous cars, including Hawk Cars' Stratos replica - which is a straight-up copy, exact enough that the body panels are swappable with a real Stratos. There are also loads of examples in other industries (Apple vs. Microsoft), and I think that the general consensus is that similarity in look and feel alone is not enough to win a suit.
I think there would be trouble if they actually called it by the same name, or deliberately caused confusion between the cars, though.
vvv Oh, I agree - it's dead sexy. I certainly would not turn one down on free car day.

You guys should all read up on the new stratos. The site is: http://www.new-stratos.com/en/
What's crazy is how this car is made. You uses a donor Ferrari F430 Scuderia. That's right! What? So, you have to own a Scuderia and then spend 300,000 pounds (that's gotta be a lot of dollars). It weighs about 1250kgs or about 2600lbs (800lbs more than FFR's proposed weight) and uses the 540hp 4.3L Ferrari V8. It wears 265/35/19 on 19x9 fronts and 315 wide 19x11 rears. I guess I didn't expect this New Stratos to be this.

Good point Jo3sh. I'd love it to look like this "New Stratos" but instead of the Scuderia, I'll use my WRX. haha

I guess I must be in the minority here on this site because a lot of folks love the look of the Stratos but it reminds me of this:
Sorry but I just find it bland. Now the Porsche 918 on the other hand, well that thing is a work of art.

I will agree on the 918. LOL at the Prelude reference.

FFR won the suits against ****** because the design was abandoned. The new Stratos is definitely not abandoned.
