My son, the car owner, lives in Edmonton, I live in Ecuador and my father lives in Vancouver. So we only get together to work on the project every few months, but when we do, its 10 hour days6-7 days a week for three weeks.

Good job, what heating system are you using as that looks different from the FFR supplied one? And is that an ISIS system you use???

That is the FFR heater. I did not split it on the firewall. I want a clean firewall on the engine side. It is mounted on a bracket at a 45deg angle so it fits under the dash. No ISIS, just the Ford Racing computer and PCM.

I spent the last three weeks working on the car, Dad came by for two weeks. Everything works, wipers, heater, lights etc. Lots of details to finish, but it is driveable. Plenty of power.

Thanks for noticing my custom front brake lights, I did not see them when I was doing the wiring becasue I had the park lights on. OOPS. With the new Coyote install kit, it should be very straightforward to install. It does sound amazing. and the price is competitive with most 400 HP engines, and you get factory reliability and expected excellent gas mileage. The power is more than sufficient. I spent the last couple of weeks in the garage. Here are some of the details:
The bumpers are in a different thread
Modified the trunk sheet metal to allow the rag top to fit across the trunk.

I was inspired by the Ridetech project to trim the Kirkey seats . I went a little farther and trimmed the mid and upper seat frame also. They fit the car better this way. Not sure how I am going to finish them yet.

Finally got the Speedhut gauges placed so I can see them clearly.

Installed warning lights for the suicide door locks, the red light is on if the door pin is not fully inplace.

I was in the garage for the past week tidying up some of the loose ends on 33 Coyote. It is almost ready for the safety inspection.

I ordered a cover from California Car covers, specified that is was a 33 FFR. A little tight around the wide mirrors I added, but overall very good.

As shown previously, I cut down the Kirkey Hiback seats. I trimmed and sewed the drivers seat as a test, will do the passenger seat on my next trip.

I ordered a dash panel, door panels and gas pedal pad from Tim Whittaker at Kootenai
Valley Customs,, excellent stuff, really finishes the dash and doors.

Took the car to Fountain Tire in St. Albert for its Out of Province Safety Inspection. They do a lot of work on rods and specialty cars, excellent service. Talked to Peter first to findout exactly what is required. Fenders, bumpers, third brake light and marker lights are mandatory for the inspection.
The car is loud, rough on the Edmonton potholes, fun and fast. It is the only car I have access to in town, so I used it for running errands all week

I spent last week driving and tweaking the car. Put 1400 km ( 875 miles) on the car. Went on a cruise with the local Cobra club, great folks. I replaced the F5R mufflers with Flowmasters, installed the JMS tune, installed lighter springs ( as referenced in a separate thread), repaired the fuel level sender and made a bunch of small adjustments. The power steering will go in on my next trip.

That statement is very clear in the manual, with good reason, but sometimes a good buddy needs a little extra HP.

I have moved back to Canada and have been doing a few improvements to the car.

1. New roll hoop and subframe. My original hoops were not high enough or braced sufficiently to support the car in a roll over. This new subframe supports the hoops and braces as well as providing a proper mount for 3 point seat belts. The new harness mounts are much stronger than the original mounts. The hoops fit under the rag top, causing slight bulges. The seats were bolted directly to the floor to maximize head clearance.

2. New Teflon, stainless braided, graphite lined fuel lines to handle new fuels.

3. Shut off valve on fuel tank outlet. The valve can be actuated by a choke cable if there is a reason to shutoff the fuel flow.

4. Replace all Ron Francis connectors with OEM style connectors. I had a couple of kit supplied connectors fail.

5. Replace all connectors supplied with the Speedhut gauges. The resistance of the connectors was varying, causing erroneous oil pressure and fuel level readings.

6. The supplied fuel filler came apart when we were removing the body, so I replaced it with an original Newton locking cap from Breeze.
