MK3 Roadster Windshield Wiper Hole Location.

    Hey Support,

I have three questions on the procedure that comes with the windshield wiper kit.

In the diagram for the drilled hole location, is that to the center of the holes or the edges? The arrows in the drawing are a little misleading.

The wheel box location from the given dimensions (15” DS, 21.5” PS), does not turn out like the picture at the very end of the procedure. It appears that the driver’s wheel box is closer to the center of the car, versus the picture that shows the wheel box closer to the driver’s steering wheel. Because of this, when the wiper blade is attached to the wiper arm, the end is almost over the passenger wheel box, no space like the picture.
Are these hole dimensions for all Roadsters?

How much sweep angle do the wipers move?

    Thank you,

    Steve

The hole locations on the diagram are meant to mark the center of the holes. As far as the way the hole locations look on the body as compared to the diagram you can use the link above to see a picture of a finished car with the wipers correctly installed. The wiper gear is designed to have a 125 deg. sweep, and the system is designed to work on all our Roadster variations so the hole locations should be correct Mk1-4.
