    Alternate Assembly Guide

I've read through the digital assembly guide a few times and think everything makes perfect sense, however, I am wondering if anyone has created a 3rd party assembly guide which may include more detail on problem areas that the FF5 assembly guide doesn't discuss. I will be attending build school in September, but am trying to get as much insight into the build process as possible. Thanks.

And as you can already see, the response time is pretty quick!

The MK4 manual is very good. Plus if you got the complete kit, you will be set. Basically my 16yr old and 10yr old have done a large amount of the work and they understand the manual. The problems come up when you stray away from the generic build. Thats when the support sites come in.

Also keep in mind that a lot of little things that people talk about modifying on the sites are already done on the mk4 version or included in the complete kit. Really dont over think it, it can be overwhelming at first. but honestly, its a piece of cake!

If you use a little common sense, take your time to think things through AND expect that nothing is perfect, you'll be fine. The pictures may show a black bolt instead of a shiny one or have a picture of a different looking nut but if the length is correct and the it fits properly you nailed it! A tweak here, a little grinding there should be expected. Contrary to popular (uninformed) belief these are not erector sets. You are building a car from scratch . You will be fine. Especially if you go to the build school. You will have the confidence you are on the right path.

    Enjoy the journey!
