    Potential Donor?

I have really started to take interest in the new 818, so I have been researching donors. I know nothing is etched in stone but wondering if this would make a good donor on the cheap.

Mike.......i knew the bug would bite you!

IMHO not a great donor. The non turbo cars are give aways at salvage auctions. There was a WRX in Rockland last week in Craigslist with 104k miles with what looked like it had a date with a gaurdrail for $2900 or Bo.

Did you see these? Lot less miles. Still too much.

Here is an 06 with the better interior...

Run away from severe front end damage, the engine is vulnerable! Costs go up rapidly

Remember what you can sell off...

I started with $3500 in a roll over 05 WRX with 70,000 miles, even with every body panel damaged except the passenger door I've been able to sell off $800 in parts and I have $800 -$1000 more available to sell. Every part is worn with each mile that a car drives... reconditioning costs creep up.

See a breakdown of my donor in the "working on the donor" thread

Hoping the donor list expands the Impreza and WRX, like many have said Subarus are like legos, lots of interchangeble parts

The white one has no damage.

I know neither are ideal but 130k for $2,000 is better than $1500.00 for over 200k miles with issues.
