I agree, WOW !! The striping really sets the colors off.
Oh... Had to read that part about the great job hand striping again. Funny how my mind works!

It handels like a slot car. The ride is better than I thought it would be. The 5.0 is a mild build but will smoke the tires in 1st and 2nd gear easy. I don't know how some guys drive with over 400hp. I guess you have to be careful with the throttle. I'm sure yours will be as nice or better. The 33 is neat because it allows so much to customize. No 2 are alike.
I got the car weighed today. 2400lbs. I added a fair amount of sound deadner and insulation. It gives me a nice rattle free ride. The A/C works very well. Makes a cool cockpit in no time. Sending in paperwork for title and tag this week.

Great News today! I went to Ocala to the regional DMV for inspection and title. I was a little worried to start with. Well the whole DMV office came out and drooled all over the 33. The insp took 3 minutes. Just a check of the FFR plate I affixed to the firewall. I payed the taxes and went away with it titled as a 1933. They told me on the phone earlier it would be titled a 2013. But they changed their mind and titled it a 1933 replica. Yahoo!: rolleyes:

Wallace, Trying to think forward i had a quick question. What aluminum trunk panels ( other for that matter) are key to make removable (ie use rivnuts not rivets). For ease of body installation and removal?

The bottom ones and sides IMO. I ended up riveting all mine in the trunk. I can access my tank from my waterfall.

Wallace,
do you have a pic of how you routed your heater hoses? Looking for a neat/tidy set up.

Hey Tom. I took my Buick Wildcat to the Turkey Run last year. Had a great time. Unfortunately, I have an art show in Cocoa Beach this weekend, so will have to miss the TR. Have a great time! ERIC

Had my own Factory five display at todays( Hot Rods for heroes) show in Gainesville, FL. I took home best paint trophy with my 33. Handed out lots of FFR DVD's and 818 info as well. My wife Marsha drove the 33 to the show. I might not get it back. LOL.

My car won best of show in the Lake City car show. It is so nice when your peers vote on your car. It makes me feel good about my work. Maybe I should not sell it. Just maybe. LOL.

Sold my 33 today. I am ordering my 65 coupe tomorrow. Thanks to all for the help and the nice comments. My hope is to build 1 FFR a year for customers. Maybe God will bless me to do this in my retirement.
Delivered my 33 to Wes and Nancy in Greeneville, TN. It was nice to see my car go to such a nice couple. I hope they enjoy it as much as Marsha and I did.

Thanks, Both of you sure will look cool driving to cruise ins and shows on the road together for sure. I like the hoops on your 33.
Wallace18 has done a great job. The issue we ran into was inconsistent thickness in the mold at the top of the door. The molding seemed to be thicker towards the outside of the door and thinner to the inside. We went through and built up the underside of the top of the door panel but then the strips would not fit. Some have sanded or grinder the thickness along the edge of the door slot to a point they will fit. We chose a similar solution to Wallace18, however we fastened the angle iron to the bottom side of the panel with panel bonding material. We attempted to use aftermarket strips similar to Steele but the ones we chose were too tight against the window. After a while the glue bonding the strip to the angle iron wore off. We rebounded the strips and used set screws in them to hold them. A similar effect to what Wallace18 has done.

Love the build and I love your hot rod it looks great. Dam what a fast build but I forgot you got the 818 to pick up. I have to ask you how did you do your dash on a drill press. What type of bit did you use while working your dash panel. Again your hot rod looks great I hope mine will come out as good.
