    running board supports

Here's how I beefed up the glass boards on my 33 so they would not get damaged when stepped on.

Any photos of how the supports attach to the frame?

The other pic I put in the gallery shows most of the brackets for the frame, 4 bolt holes per side. I haven't designed the inboard brackets yet for the very ends of the outer tube. The back one will rest against/under the front tabs for the lower control arm. The outer tube at the front extends in far enough to catch the X-d part of the floor pan frame.

    Nice work.

Will you put some kind of rubber cushion between the running boards and the new frame?

    Best regards, TV

The tubing frame will have a 16Ga skin welded on and the ends of that will be folded down 90* and become part of the
sandwich where the fenders bolt to the boards. I am toying with the idea of lots of holes in the SM skin and then bonding
the glass boards to that. I have no experience with the adhesives they are bonding new cars together with so I am hoping
someone chimes in with pros and cons about that idea.
