    33 Engine

    I would like to be alittle different with my 33.
    Can I put a 455 Olds and T400 in the space allowed in the frame?

    Without modifications I do not see it happening. It is a very tight area. But if you modify the frame it could work.

    Reason I ask is the new Ford looks to be a larger package. Ditto for the OD Trans.

    shoot us some dimensions or compare them to what we already know that fits. So far several ford motors including modulars which are very wide
    a few LS's and two new Hemi's that I know of. Almost any tranny will work and the longer OD trannies actually help with the driveshaft clearance through the frame at the back vertical area. You will have to fab a few mounts and maybe even move a few things around but I enjoyed that part anyway.

    Not knowing the actual dimensions of the Olds it is hard to tell. I have seen modular Fords, an LS and a Hemi first hand and they look great. I would say that motor mounts and headers would be the two biggest hurdles, but they can be jumped.
