GenII GTM #354
Delivered (02/09/11)
I bought my dad an RC chassis for his birthday and he has been installing the modified chassis components I made for him to adapt the chassis to my body. So I go over there last night and though his body is still in primer, he took the wing off the donor RC car and installed it on his GTM body. It's awesome when dad out cools the kid. You know what they say is the ultimate flattery So I ran home and put one on mine.

Ha ha, sweet. But you should also make a model with hood louvers and the FFR roof scoop. Cause then eventually, when i order mine down the track, with this wing it'll look exactly like it
That is just so frikkin' cool!
Mom got a cool pearl White GTM model which sits on her fireplace and she cherishes. But dads like me, "It's gotta go" so he made his own RC version of one of my models. We just got it painted and now a man and his son can play cars together. Pretty cool. I won't let my son play because he would run circles around both of us.
Tobe, aka 800rwhp asked where I got the wing for the blue cars. Mine actually came with my donor rc car but I found the wings here.

If you got a car with foam or a solid bottom you would just have to glue these on and for a static model that would be fine.
That's pretty cool Steve!
The Stig
Some say, that I only know two facts about ducks, (both being wrong); and that if I could be bothered, I could solve the "da Vinci Code" in 47 seconds...
All I know is that I'm called "The Stig".

This story starts long before Thanksgiving. I received a PM from Michael right after he finished his car and sent me pictures for the 2014 calendar. He wanted To give Ron a 1/10 scale car to match his new jewel,as a token of appreciation for all his help on the car. I always get excited when someone want me to paint to match their car because it's my chance to see the car in person without having to go to the east coast.
I told Michael that in order to keep him from suffering postpartum depression, I'll work him a deal on two cars. I planned on doing the cars over Thanksgiving but I spent the long weekend under a blanket with the flu instead. Then My dad had surgery and things just seemed like they would never get done. But good things come to those who wait.
Micheal said Ron was pretty excited when he got his model. They turned out awesome and Michael has an eye for photography. He sent me these pict. To all who I have models painted to match their real cars, I really like these shots and it would be cool if we could have more similar shots on this thread. I'll be taking my shots today!!!

I wish the "real one" was this far along. Still needs some detailing.
Cheers, Jeff
