Kevin's mk4 build thread "Bay Area CALIFORNIA"
Hello ladies and gentlemen, I was just informed by factory five that my kit is ready for shipping as of this morning 1/12/2018. I thought I would make a post now as I'm highly excited.
FFR build specs:
MKIV Roadster base kit
Powder coated chassis
3 Link rear suspension
Coyote power steering rack kit from FFR
Body cutouts
Wind Wings
Sun Visors
Padded dash with console
Assembled side Louvers
Big and tall seat upgrade
Wilwood big brake kit with black calipers
Roll bar grommets
Leather steering wheel
Wilwood pedal box
Gps gauge set
Battery cut off switch
Roaster cooling package From FFR
Efi fuel setup from FFR
Fuel tank setup from FFR
Ron Francis harness
Bunch of buttons and switches
17x9 Halibrands up front
17x10.5 Halibrands in the back
"I know I pretty much have a complete package after adding all the optional parts" lol
Wants:
FFmetal Battery Box with Optima
Hood Hinges "breeze"
Seat mounts "breeze"
Door panels "where do I get them from?"
Motor:
Coyote f150 "already have it"
Ford Control pack
Maybe - upgrade valve springs and cams
Driveline:
Tremec TKO 600, .64 5th gear already ordered from Mike
I plan to drive the car as often as possible.. gym, work and close errands so I'm pretty much building the car to drive.
Any tips or advice on sb100 registration for California kit cars? This is going to be another challenge for me as I'm totally noob to it. I did some google research on it already.
I have pictures of the car from FFR of it sitting at their loading dock and will post it as soon as I figure out how to post pictures.
Cheers!

Hey BayFunk!
Congrats on the delivery date. I received mine in November and have slowly been chipping away. Check out Herbs post in the Roadster threads for info on panels. I'm over in San Ramon. Where are you located? No help on the registration as I wasn't even preparing to worry about that for another year or so. Long way to go before I get it ready for the road! Have fun and if I can be of help let me know.

Welcome! If you are looking for hood hinges, I came across these from one of the site's vendors that are pricey, but pretty cool:

I had Herb (CobraHerb) make my leather door panels.
Good luck and have fun!

Congrats on your kit, you are gonna have a blast. I am in San Jose and finished my Mk4 w/coyote last summer. The SB 100 was pretty straightforward. If possible, a trip to the show at Huntington Beach in April is really worth the time and effort. Edwardb’s Mk4 build thread is also invaluable. I will be helping a buddy with his Type 65 Gen 3 when it arrives next month, as these builds are a lot of fun. Feel free to contact me for any help if needed.

I ordered the EFI fuel system from factory five but in all honestly I don’t even know what it includes as it doesn’t show in the parts website but they did say it’s everythig I need for my setup. Hehe
Does anyone know what that includes it was about $549 on my invoice
I also ordered the oem tank option which was $699

Welcome,
I am in the north bay near Petaluma. I am about half way through a 289 FIA build--Mike Forte 302 Cu In, TKO 600, 3 link. Going for a pretty period correct look with 15" pin drive wheels, etc. This is a great forum. Stay in touch! Joel
