Are they on the correct side? They should line up. Did you assemble them before installing the assembly to the car?

It's not particularly unusual that they don't align perfectly at the top where it wraps around. The good news is the base metal is brass and it bends pretty easily. So it's possible to get them better, although maybe not 100%. Yours are off more than I've seen with mine. But before doing that, agree with the question whether you assembled them with the windshield off the car. The holes that Factory Five cuts in the body are straight. You'll find they actually need to be at an angle. So maybe having them in the body is keeping them from locating properly? Worth a shot. As a last resort, if you do need to bend them, but the arm in a vise and just barely twist the top the needed direction with a large adjustable wrench. Use lots of padding on the jaws of both. Take it slow and don't get carried away. Hasn't happened to me, but I've heard of guys causing the chrome plating to separate from the brass.

Yes i did assemble off the car and then slid it into the slots. I THINK I have it on the correct side . The sidebars are flush with the front of the windshield and then the wider part is toward the cockpit. I noticed that when I snugged the passanger side up to the bracket with the 1/2 bolts the driver side was angled with more space in the front15736898875454471953806785015995.jpg

ALSO, Have you read about needing shims between the windshield mounts and the frame mounts? Don't just install the 4 bolts and tighten them up. You could break the windshield. I don't have pics. Does anyone have some to share?
And, have you read about tapping the windshield brackets to ease installation? Again, anyone have pics?

Yes the posts usually fit poorly especially at the top. You need to bend the posts carefully. The posts look like they may nestle against the outer edge of the glass surround but they don't do that very well. As you tighten the 4 screws they will settle into their position and that is the best you get. Not really an issue once installed. The mount surfaces on the frame are are parallel to each other and vertical. Usually you will need to both bend and twist the posts slightly just below the body to get them to fit the mounts w/o and stress as you tighten the bolts.

I had heard about that. When I put the fuse box in I installed on a piano hinge so I had really great assess and wound up using body shims that worked well. I will be placing an order with you soon for lots of other goodies tho
