Bed floor tie downs
I think I found a solution to tie things down on the bed floor of my truck. Mainly just for lawn chairs and maybe a cooler . I bought some 1/4-20 stainless eye bolts that replaced the bolts that held down the stainless strips on the Smokey road aluminum bed. I have not tried it yet but looks like it will work out great. I built mine using the base stainless, then did wood slats and Core Trax. Gives me infinite flexibility, and removability. This means when I have nothing, a box can slide along the bed no problem (let's be real, it saves my knees). And a couple rivnut at the front and back make removal a breeze

Whose bed kit did you use? I really like the looks and you can lift it out. Right now I coated the SS bed with bed liner and using rivnuts screwed to the frame.

It wasn’t a kit. My dad got the lumber and milled it to size and then routed out the recesses for the core trax. Then we just found where we could drill holes through the stainless buy mapping out on the stainless all the frame members. I go in to a little more detail here:

If you have a table saw and router, you can do the same thing.
