    Ferrari 250 GTO restoration

This video popped up in my YT feed recently. It's a very cool story about the history and restoration of a particularly nice example of one of the most beautiful cars ever made (IMO), the Ferrari 250 GTO. The work that went into restoring this particular car is pretty phenomenal. We were planning to go to the Pebble Beach Concours again this year, but something came up at the last minute and we couldn't make it. I'm pretty bummed, as I wanted to go specifically to see this car.

And in case people are thinking this is probably some trailer queen, here's a second video of this same car gassing up at the local gas station in Carmel-by-the-Sea (next door to Pebble Beach) before heading out on a cruise. It's not often you come across a $70M car at the gas station.

I love the 250GTO. 1 of 36 made. The drummer from Pink Floyd bought one in the 70s for something like $35k, and he thought that was an appalling price for a car. He still has it, apparently. And the CEO and founder of WeatherTech bought one for ~$75M. Those rubber mats are expensive!

Great videos. I wonder why they made the tailpipes stick out so far?
I could never afford a 250GTO but did buy a poster of it and one of an F40 when I was in Marinello a few years ago.
When I lived in MA a local guy would bring his 275 GTB to a few of the higher end car shows.
