    What Fuel Pump?

    What fuel pumps are folks using in the last year or two? The part number Paul lists in his build thread is 6 years old now and doesn't come up as a Walbro unit any longer (at least I couldn't find it). I see a few guys are using the Aeromotive's as well. Any guidance would be appreciated.
    Coupe complete kit ordered: 9/26/24. Gen 4 Coyote. T-56. IRS w/3.73. Wilwoods. PS. HVAC. Side windows.

    No question both my Roadster and Coupe build threads are getting a little long in the tooth... But in this case, the fuel pump setup I had in my Coupe is still available. Not sure what I might be showing in the build thread. This is from my notes:

    Walbro GSS340BX Fuel Pump, Electric, In-Tank, 255 lph, Ford, 5.0L. Showing at Summit, Amazon, etc.
    Walbro 94-615 Wiring Harness, Wiring Harness, GSS Fuel Pump. Also showing wide availability.
    Pro-M Racing High Flow Fuel Pump Hanger for 1986 – 1997 Mustangs. Still available and still being used by many builds.
    You'll need some fuel resistant connectors. I used Molex 19164-0077 step-down butt connectors. Perfect for this application IMO. Also widely available.

    I've used this setup on several builds and has given me great service. Some seem to want higher LPH. But this handles the Gen 3 Coyote in my Coupe with no issues. I've seen some use the all-in-one Aeromotive solution. Looks nice but I have no experience with it so can't make any recomendations. Maybe someone who has can provide specifics.

    Thanks for the quick response Paul. I think I got hung up on looking for the BX suffix which I didn't see the first time I looked. For the record, I use your build thread as a sort of bible or template for all of these aftermarket mods to the build. I am a big believer in not reinventing the wheel. So when I search for a part from your thread and it doesn't come up a bit of mild panic creeps in . Thanks for spelling out the other details as well.

    depends what engine you plan on using and LPH requirement.

    I went with 450 LPH Holley 12-132 fuel pump, but it does require a lot of modifications to the fuel tank. The opening has to be enlarged to fit the fuel pump and i had to cut out the baffle from within the tank. Not sure if i'm not going to have issues with fuel starvation without the baffle when running on near empty gas tank, i'm putting all my hope in the Hydramat

    I would have gone with a different fuel pump, had i known that i will need to remove the baffle to make the fuel pump fit...

    Just noticed your signature - have you considered FFR fuel pump kit? They can supply Walbro 255 lph fuel pump (it is not listed in the options list when ordering Type 65, but they do have fuel pump kit available upon request).

    I think the only reason I did not go with the FFR kit was because of the differing size pickup and return lines and no AN fittings on the same. 255 lph is more than enough for a 480 hp Coyote so I will probably go with the pump and hanger Paul notes above.
