Wow, that last photo is crazy! I just moved to CT from OR last fall. We had terrible fires in OR too (forest fires), and the smoke stuck around for months due to the mountain valleys, creating hazardous air conditions. I was spared any hurricane experiences last fall in CT, but I'm definitely dreading the day. People keep telling me they aren't a big deal.
