    Beware AI

Just wanted to put this out there. Today I was looking into ordering a drive shaft for my roadster. Windsor block, TKX, Solid axel. And I searched in google 'length tko vs tkx'
The first results on google now are the AI results which were the following:

"The Tremec TKX is shorter than the older TKO transmission. The TKX has a lower height from the input shaft centerline to the top of the case, and its smaller case is made possible by an in-load design where everything enters from the back. The TKO, on the other hand, has a top-loader design where all the gears enter from the top, resulting in a larger case. The TKX's compact size makes it a good option for hot rodders who don't need the extra overdrive gear of the T56 and T56 Magnum transmissions"

However when I scrolled down and found an article on americanpowertrain.com
    https://americanpowertrain.com/tko-v...RoCDAcQAvD_BwE

I found this 2/3 down the page.

    "More features of the TKX

    • Equipped with a high-performance short-throw billet aluminum shifter that isolates road noise while providing clean, crisp shifts.
    • Multiple shift locations for installation flexibility.
    • Robust design with internal three-rail shift system and steel shift forks.
    • Wide gear width increases gear life and torque capacity.
    • 26-spline input shaft with a 31-spline output shaft for added strength.
    • Built-in reverse light switch and cruise control safety switch.
    • Separate GM and Ford case patterns and input configurations. Integrated GM and Ford transmission mount patterns.
    • Same length overall as the TKO. Can use any TKO crossmember and driveshaft.
    • Bellhousing bolt patterns are the same. GM version and Ford version. GM TKO/TKX share the GM Muncie bolt pattern. Ford versions share the Ford Toploader transmission bolt pattern.
    • Input shaft is 26-spline and bearing retainer design is the same. Can use any throwout bearing or hydraulic bearing for TKO or TKX.
    • 31-spline output same for TKO/TKX.

I think the AI generated content is misleading. I looked at the links provided by the AI and one is a Youtube video (I did not watch it) and one is to an article that is highlighted, I think to show where the information came from. The highlighted texted never says the unit is shorter rather it mentions the need to 'reduce the size of the transmission's envelope'. I did pull down the transcript of the video and searched for the word 'short' and it appears once referring to a short block. I searched for 'small' and it showed up 3 times. Once mentioning the trans tunnel requirements, and twice mention the case is smaller.

Additionally I searched for 'reduc', 'reduce', and 'reduced' no mentions. I also searched for 'length' and the only mention of this word they said 'we talked at length' but nothing in context of what I was looking for. So there is no obvious reason the AI chose to say shorter.

But in this case I would be more inclined to believe American power train article.

Anyway I guess I'm just saying beware the AI information Google gives you, as is it may not be very precise.
