Using Corvette Power Seat Tracks in a GTM

Has anyone attemped to put a power seat tracks in a GTM?? I don't really like that the seats are bolted to the floor and are not adjustable.. I have not got my kit yet so I am not sure if the seats would set to high by using the seat tracks..

There is a fix for that. It pretty much puts adjustable seat track on the sides of the seats so that height is not lost. Try searching the forums. I know somebody offered the fix for sale. David Borden's name strikes a bell, but I can't remember for sure.

    Yes......BUT.....

I have to assume you have never sat in a GTM before. There is not much headroom. If you take a vertical measurement from the floor to the roof you will see ~36". Mounting the seat (with brackets, with bracket and manual sliders, or as per the manual, will allow you to mount the seat with the bottom touching the floor, for maximum head room. If you are height challenged (say 5'8" or shorter) or have a short torso, the mod may work very well for you.

Mike (MikesPMS) has the modified corvette power seat track installed. He recessed the floor pan and modified the seat to max the available head room. http://www.ffcars.com/forums/42-fact...ower-seat.html

IIRC David no longer sells the brackets; however Shane now sells a similar set of brackets. http://vraptorspeedworks.com/seat-mounting-brackets/
