I'll be wanting one of these!
I'll call or PM you sometime over the next couple of weeks. I've been tied up with something that I can't wait to show off when its done!
Whenever I go to TH I fly in. 11 hour drives are not real compatible with a regular day job.
I do, however, usually make the 6 hour drive up to Buttonwillow. Maybe we can meet up again at one of the future races there? I don't know when the next one is that PDG will be attending, but I'm sure we will be there in the next few months...maybe you should just mail them to me.
Who's car does this look like? That BMW Vermillion red looks good day or night.
Hint: It's going to Sweden.
Steve, thanks for making this video! I didn't realize the size of the model until seeing it next to your hands.
If anyone in Ontario is getting one soon, let's split the shipping & brokerage fees.

Very cool! Your efforts are much appreciated. These scale cars are awesome. I am still amazed at the proportional accuracy of the body of this model to the actual car.
Very nice.

I'm just freakin loosing my mind over these things! If you have a GTM or are even thinking about someday owning one YOU HAVE TO GET ONE OF THESE.
These are no small models. They are substantial. They are big enough that you can try stuff easily to see what it looks like without breaking out the magnifying glasses to build it, yet they are not too big to sit on a coffee table or desk. IMO they are the PERFECT size.
I can't say enough about how cool these things are.
Here is a pic to show some scale. The other car is a 1/24 scale die cast model of a NASCAR car.
Any chance you would model a GEN II?
Team Bouffard
GenII #369 - SOLD
1968 Camaro - work in progress
I would want an option one. No idea of price.
Doug
Thanks Mike.
Wait till you get your wheels on. Then it takes another huge leap into the cool realm.
I'm glad they arrived Ok?
I think I finally got the audio straightened out on the how to make video. You can check out what it looks like with wheels.
When I did the original cad model I tried to digitize that curvy shape the best I could, so I could use the base model to try out my body mods before committing them to the real car.

Funny you say that Mike; I thought of you when I saw a similar chrome finish.
I used RCPlanet.com; they have pages to choose from.

HPI Mesh Wheel
26mm3mm
HPI3716
EDIT: They appear to be too big for the model? I thought the diameter was 26mm, but it's 52mm!
The page says 10th scale RC model, so hopefully Steve can confirm this. Found some tires too...
Damn it, this is more fun than shopping for the GTM, because I know it's less work.

Excellent, thanks for confirming that. I just drew the tire size on a piece of paper; you just don't realize how big this replica model really is until
you measure the tire diameter.
Just 1.5 cm smaller than the average coffee mug!

I wonder what RC chassis would fit :-)

Except of course watching it!
A few of my GTM buddies have picked up some raw castings of the 10th scale GTM bodies. I hope everyone will share what they do. I have put together a video series of what I do to get these bodies ready for paint. Here is the first video. I'll call it " Prep for paint 1, adding the filler"

Hey Steves,
Does this only work with the model in front of you or can it be done by looking at the pictures. If it can be done by just looking at the pictures than I have to tell you twenty four is not enough "adult beverages" becaures I still can't see no right hade steeren wheelz

Here's one going to our southern ca. GTM brother, Tobe. Then my mom seen it and said she wanted it. Well you can't leave mom high and dry.
Steve-
These models are just too cool! Good for you for making these up. I bet anyone who gets one like their car has to be totally stoked.
I enjoy reading your thread, and seeing your latest creation or updates. Great stuff!
Regards,
Steve
This one is a long time coming. I finished the car and then we had to wait a long time to get the wheels. I put some chrome wheels on it while I had it here. Then Kalstar sent me some pictures after he received it and put his wheels on. What a difference wheels make in setting the attitude of the car. He also hinted his mini GTM might be in the coming events forum soon.

I guess a Gen II is not likely to be seen in the near future, but even as a visual aide and a dream re-enforcer. A gen 1 will do nicely.
I'll be shooting you a PM if you have any left.
One step at a time.
One of my GTM's arrived today!
and even came with pre-cut masks!!
I'd take a pic but my desk at the office is a little cluttered.
P.S. Masterfully crafted Steve!
