Front lower ball joint for aluminum control arm - Part #

I replaced my damaged control arms with aluminum and as the manual warned my ball joints are too small. I have searched around and can't confidently say I know for sure which ball joints to purchase.

Does anyone know the correct part number for ball joints to fit the aluminum control arm shown below?

    Thanks in advance

you need the ball joint and then a steel cone that fits into the aluminum arm.

    Hi Brando,

My donor is an 06, but a wagon, so it has the steel arms and I just ordered a couple ball joints. However, none of the online part search engines seem to differentiate; the Moog K9513 joints that I ordered are listed for all the Imprezas and WRXs, but obviously the 06 sedans need a different part for the Al control arms, so be careful not to get the wrong one. You may need to check with a dealer.

Of course Craig would know! So, the same Moog parts I got should work in the cones Craig mentioned.

If I understand, we need to use the same ball joint (the ones from a steel CA) but get those Boss Transverse Link cones that will fit in the LCA for one end and the ball joint in the cone for the other end?

the ball joint fits into the upright and the tapered shaft fits into the cone which fits the aluminum control arm. same ball joint as steel arms
