We're now shipping V4.0 harnesses that have been updated for a better fit, upgraded materials, and an ECU box to protect for the elements. In addition we're now a Cobb Tuning authorized dealer so make sure to grab an Accessport with your build!

For those who are looking at having us build you a harness, the sooner you get a hold of us the better we can fit into your project timeline. We have streamlined our process while still giving you the ability to customize to suit your needs and with that you can now expect approximately 4-6 week wait. If you need a specific time frame please let us know.

The goal of the kit was to build a high end race spec harness that is completely plug and play, built from scratch using bits from your Subaru harness, and customized to individual specifications. The end result is a turn key harness that can be for any type of build from the simple to the complex. Our main focus was to turn a wiring process into a mechanical one. All you need to do is to run the harness, sand a couple spots for grounds, bolt it down, and hook up the battery. Assuming the mechanical is ready to go, it should only be a couple hours of work before you'll be able to rip the car down the street.

    Includes:

    • All Kits come with 3 fuse boxes with accessory, key on, and constant power and all basic equipment from engine to headlights, taillights, cluster, turn signals, etc.
    • ECU box for mounting and protection from heat/moisture

    [*]$65 Mounting hardware
    • Adhesive or screw in tab with heavy duty zip tie
    • Self-fusing rubber tape to eliminate any vibration between the harness and clamps

    [/LIST]
    Options Include:
    • Cruise Control
    • ABS
    • Daytime Running Lights
    • Power Mirrors
    • Many more, just ask!

Harness will come with heat and moisture resistant cover to protect the ECU. Please excuse the prototype, the final product will be much nicer looking and fitting as well as have a layer of heat reflective material and weatherstripping to seal and eliminate vibrations and noise.

Main Dash Section with Fuel Pump Controller and Fuseboxes

Hood/trunk light Switch, and OBD2 Port. We can provide a Cobb AP with your purchase for diagnostics and tuning. For R models, you can choose to run an aftermarket wiper switch and an all inclusive motorcycle switch in place of the factory wiper and lighting stalks.

Options for switch panels and switches to be mounted in the dash are available.

Huge compliment from Jim B. #054

"Plugged in the wires, turned on the key. Started right up.
Doesn't get any better than that.
    Thanks for your help."

"Cant wait to get it. I do believe this is the way to go. I've wasted enough time trying to get my harness to fit. Thanks for offering this service!!"

"Yeah, (dieting the OEM harness) was a lot of time and work and in the end, it's a hacked up harness. I could probably...maybe...make my own (harness) from scratch, but I don't have time or desire too. Dan really encouraged me to go your route after getting his."

"I will say that I spent about 30 minutes laying out the harness on the floor then about 2 hours routing it in the car and the car started.
    VS
2 months of wire diet, money for more wire, money for tape, money for burn ointment, and an unspecified amount of frustration with Subaru wiring and their color code. When I do this again, your harness will be in the budget from the beginning."

"I just started laying my iWire harness in this weekend. I was reminded of the workmanship and couldn't help but think to myself that I was happy to have shelled out the coin for such a nice product."

    Hi Brian,

You indicated this was for an "R" model, but many of the things you listed as being supported would be needed only for street models. Is that to say this would also work in an 818S?
Have you seen the 818 Registry on Google Maps?? https://www.google.com/maps/ms?msid=...a=0&dg=feature

Want your 818 added to the Registry? https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1zmF...rNCY4/viewform

Ditto. I have no plans even for headlights (no night-time enduro runs, so no need, the buckets aren't even going in). No turn signals, no horn, no wiper, no license plate light...that's a race car. The harness looks really nice, but it does seem to have a lot of extra for a straight up race car...though, I would like a heated cup-holder for my customary pre-run macchiato. =)

Sweet offering Brian! A much needed service.

I have raced the challenge car enough to know what a roadster needs for racing in the NW. We have to deal with early/late darkness, rain, fog and occasional snow. We can't wait for perfect weather as we never get it, thus lights are a must around here. As Brian said it is customized on a per customer basis.

We can accommodate that, not problem. If all I need to wire up is the engine plus some outputs, it'll actually bring the cost down. The biggest time spent on these is running all of the exterior body equipment.

Would you consider putting an 818S harness together but using a keyless ingition system something like this? Would be great I think.

Yeah we could do something like that. The harness in the pictures uses a push button start, just not as fancy.

I received my harness on Friday, top notch, very high quality. I have not had a chance t install the harness yet, need to do some more work, but I did some engine work and I attached the harness to engine and battery and I was able to fire up the engine standalone. Nice job Brian ! Harness I sent weighed was 49lbs the harness I got back was 23lbs (all connector, modules, fuse boxes, etc.), nice job (as I have a bunch of extra wires run for future stuff). I'm 200% pleased with the work that you have done. More to come as I install. This is something that Dave needs to pick up on ASAP.

As badass as the 818 is by itself, that carbon control panel is just awesome by itself. Makes the interior much more racecarish.

Wow, this is exactly the kind of kit that would help an electrical layman like myself wire a car up. Using a donated car's rat's nest is simply not an option for me. Bookmarking.

The piece is really clean, good quality, and just happens to fit beautifully in the dash. The buttons/switches as well as the panel itself are solid. I'm going to see if they'll make a 4 aux switch version.

I was picturing more of a "vroom pssh" sound as you sat in your 818 seat waiting diligently for the harness to arrive. lol

Any plans on modifying factory harnesses to work as stand alone factory ECU? With just a power ground and switched lead coming off for hook up.

my friend and I decided to try and tackle just building the harness ourselves from scratch. definitely time consuming, using one of my garage doors to post all the diagrams on. From what I noticed, there are very few actual fuses in the main circuits you actually need, kinda crazy to think about. I would also have to say Subaru's diagrams kinda suck imo. Now that we got it going, seems a lot easier than trying to make the stock harness work as it was. My only worry is if we might have deleted something critical for the ECU to function, flash, etc. since we deleted so many things, hopefully it all works out! We basically wired in only what we needed to control the engine and cluster basically, everything else such as lights, etc. we put all on their own separate circuit controlled by a switch panel, is there any issue doing it that way?

I'm doing something similar and I left behind at least 75% of the factory wires. Keep in mind that I'm keeping cruise control, radio, all the switches on the steering column, and wiring in heat/defrost.

The biggest problem with the Subaru diagrams is that they leave out anything not relevant to the system that's on that page. There's a bunch of cases where it looks like a wire only goes to one place but it really goes to many places and you have to look at several diagrams to get the whole picture.

My strategy is to cut all the grounds apart and run them to a local chassis point when I install. I also cut all the power supply wires to each system so I can use a single smaller fusebox. I left as much wire as I possibly could, but I ended up extending many of them. The only devices I have under the dash are the high beam and daytime running light relays. Everything else is under the engine cover. I don't like working under dashboards.
