And what are your plans?
Replicating a particular car?
C'mon guys, I'm sure that some of you already know if you're going ahead with an order. There are some masterful builders around here, so I'm sure we're going to see lots of great builds.

I'm building my brother's Anni car and have to sell mine, but I can GUARANTEE if Erik Treves ends up with anything like below people will be lining up quickly, including me!!
FFR 5369 Pin Drive, IRS, Trigos, Torsen, Wilwoods, FMS BOSS 302 "B" cam , Mass-flo. CA SB100 (SPCN) Registered
Delivered 4/23/06. "Finished" 4/2012 (still not done!)
I'm thinking that once 7074 is done, I'll start planning for a track-car only build. Something that replicates one of the originals, does away with anything that doesn't make it stop, go, or turn better, and has a fair amount of patina right out of the gate - i.e., look for lots of vintage parts (sort of the "ultimate donor").

That's the first production cobra...csx2001 and belongs to Bruce Meyer.
Adam Carolla visited his garage and in the first part of this video, Bruce talks quite a bit about it:

- Allen.
I'm building one but its a hybrid of sorts; modified MK4 chassis and a Mr. Bruce 289 FIA body
I am visiting FFR on July 26 to see if I can fit the FIA well enough to own one. This is the car I have been waiting for. 6"4" tall with a long torso so may have to do a Kirkey bolted to the floor like I did with my Honda S2000. If I buy one it will be with the 289/302 and a top loader. IRS as well with pin drive wheels.
todcp, where are you located? If you are anywhere near So-Cal you are more than welcome to come over and try my ride on for size...

We have some nice 302 Turnkey powerplants for the FIA and MKIVs.
www.fordcobraengines.com. Carb or EFI.
I ordered mine the day of the unveiling. Hope to take delivery early September. I've been spending my free time researching the 289 and waiting for some reponse from FFR about the rear axle.
I visited Factory Five just over a week ago. I've been waiting for a decade for them to come out with the 289 FIA and they waited until I had two little girls at home and a house to build.
I guess that just makes the whole thing more of a challenge so I'll be ordering as soon as I can get my family into a new home. When exactly that'll be is somewhat less certain but c'est la vie.
