Race car scales

Guys,

I'm looking at race car scales and there are a few choices out there. I tought he'd be good to have a post specific to those in this R section.
Could you guys give feedback on what you have used before, and what you liked or did not like about them. what to look for, etc....
Do they need to be recalibrated once in a while?
Is buying used one a good idea?
etc...
FYI, I am thinking actual proven race scale, not DYI bathroom scale system.
So far I found:

-Longacre
-Proform
-Quickcar
-Rebco
-Tanner

Proform has a nice wireless system that even comes with ramps for around $850....... It seems to be a great deal compared to the Intercomp/Longacre ones, but I'm not sure how good proform is.

I live close by Longacre, so I use their scales and all the race orgs I race with also use thiers, most of the race shops in the area use longacre also. They have a scratch and dent listing on their site so I think mine were like $800 for wired scaoles with a max capacity of 2000 lbs eack, does cross weight, %, total weight, etc. I have their caster/camber gauge, toe in/out tool and their bump steer gauge.

I have a set of Longacre wired type that I have used for many years with no complaints. It only takes a couple of minutes to connect the wires which was never an issue for me. As far as calibration is concerned all that is needed is to push the “ZERRO” button after the scales are warmed up. They have all the features I ever needed including calculating the center of gravity.

I have the Longacres also.

I have had proform and Longacre's, both work great. The proforms have a much smaller pad but completely usable.

Yes, yes, yes...so how much does it weigh? Since I suspect many of us will include the additional weight of the wing support, and we haven't seen any weight figures for an R-car, I'd really like to know what you came in at. And let us know how much fuel you're carrying when you weigh it.

I am waiting untill I install the fire system/ fuel cell cover/firewall. I'm scared, I think it could be a pig.
Also considering AWIC/Dry Sump with 8 qts of oil/wing structure/etc

That's actually exactly why I'm so interested. I'm planning many of the same things (in fact, I think all of them), so your final weight is going to be my benchmark. I'm still thinking about what class I could be both legal and competitive in and what power level to shoot for to make it happen.

Mine is sitting at ~1650 (spindle weight)with out wheels and body, has most everything else except fire system, passenger seat, wing and exhaust, the weight is about 48% front and 52% rear, I have added over 120lbs of weight in anti-intrusion panels (side and bottom), I try to keep an eye on it as I do my build. I expect 2100 lbs with me in the car.

I read many people having issues with wireless Proforms, reliability issues.

I have Longacre, the 1st gen but I got them used from Canada (I am in Canada) so I saved a TON in shipping. You guys get everything for free shipping so it's not a prob. They are 3500lbs per tile for mine. Thick, very, 4".

I have the Longacre wired from the scratch and dent section. It works great, however if I were doing it again I'd go with wireless.

Haha I wish. No, just the car ready to go. I'm sure my wing/bumper structure added 50+ pounds, Dry sump with extra oil, AWIC, real side intrusion plate (not what FFR sends you) added more weight. I added everything to hopefully keep the car reliable, and safe for me. Sure, I could of dropped a 100 pounds, but it would not be safe racing wheel 2 wheel.
