    Help with clutch selection

    So I need to order my clutch this weekend. My transmission is from a 07 non turbo Impreza. It's a push style clutch, just like the same year wrx. Are all 5mt push type clutches interchangeable? A non turbo exedy stage one (#15801) is only rated for 202 ft/lbs torque versus a WRX push type stage one (#15804) rated at 301 ft/lbs. Are any modifications need to use a turbo clutch on a non turbo trans?

    Hey Adam
    I have the same engine transmission combo as you.
    Turn In Concepts (818 vendor) recommended a South Bend Clutch KSB04-HD-OFE Kit. That's what I went with. I have about 75 autocross runs (launches) on it so far and very happy with it.

    Semi-related question -

    I assume many of us are replacing/upgrading clutch and flywheels before installing into the 818. How are you guys getting break in miles on the clutch prior to tuning, etc.? Many brands recommend 500 street miles with a lot of stop/start prior to getting on the power in high RPM. 500 miles it a lot of laps around my development...

    Thanks Bob, looks prefect. Just over $500 and good for 350 ft/lbs.

    I checked Ironhydoxide's transmission thread and found this;

    Push Style
    Stamped Steel Clutch fork
    Pivots on a Ball Threaded into the clutch area of The bellhousing
    Slave Cylinder Mounting on TOP of the bellhousing
    flat flywheel (for NON TURBO)
    Small Stepped Flywheel (for TURBO)
    So I guess which clutch I need will depend on what style flywheel comes with my adapter, flat or stepped. Ah, more waiting...

    My clutch dilemma has become more interesting. My flywheel has arrived and my oem clutch cover doesn't fit. I called the guy I got it from, it was in fact designed for the same 225mm clutch disc and push style clutch housing. However it would appear that the clutch covers on Aussie Subaru's are slightly smaller, or at least their bolt pattern is. My cover's bolt hole centers are 268mm vs the flywheels 254mm. Unfortunately bolt patterns are not listed for most clutches, can anyone suggest any usdm models that might use a clutch that will work? If not, I guess I'll start contacting clutch manufactures.
