Yep, too high. I paid $1500 for a complete running donor in excellent condition. Other than the front end knocked over about 2"

He's rebuild it so he's not going to give it away but $1,200 is too much.
I'd offer him $800. Or you can get a whole Mustang and spend some time stripping and selling. You will be amazed how much you can make back.
