I would like to use an external fill cap for my hot rod to avoid opening trunk to fill. What are folks using and where to I get one?
thanks

This is the company I plan to use unless one of our vendors sells them.

Why wouldn't you just glass in a spot for the factory one?
I don't understand your point, Darth. We've seen those guys who have used popup Cobra type fill caps and others have used marine unirs as well ad a vartiety of flush mount styles. I am not a fan of the cobra style on this body but would like something similar. The factory fill is okay but i would prefer a unit with a captured lid I won't have to chase around when I drop it.
Here is a nice option if you have a flat surface or want to glass in a slightly recessed flat surface:

I guess not, unless the trunk is full of illeagal substances or weapons, or stuff you don't want to slop fuel on. Like my wife's shopping bags full of trinkets from the local gift shop. To each his own, I guess.
I agree that it's hard not to slop fuel with that fuel tank's flawed design, but I'd rather slop it over my wife's trinkets than the paint work! But as you say, each to his own.
Cheers,
Neil.
