I'm nearby, and will be building my FF33 by then, but obviously no cobra. (Although I'm a fan; I bought a completed one in '98 which I guess was pre-FF?)

I looked at the website agenda but I wasn't sure if there was a best time for any visitors to show up and visit with you all? I didn't see a show except for perhaps the cookout on Friday night. Or do you think Saturday would be better? Thanks

    RoadRacer,

For what it's worth ... I have gone twice as a "visitor" ... and had a fabulous time! There is usually someone you can catch a ride with to the events and there is plenty of time to look the cars over at the Embassy Suites!

    RoadRacer,
If you are coming to visit, Friday afternoon after 4 PM is a good time. Most people are coming back from the Hill Country. We have a Friday evening around 6 PM hamburger and hot dog cook out for donations and everyone is around the parking lot. We don't really have a car show as such. Everyone cruises during the day and back in the lot around 4 or 5 each day. My daughter runs the registration just inside the hotel. Have her call me and I can see about hooking you up with a ride for a cruise if you are there in the morning.

Here are the numbers for the 2017 TCC Spring Meet:

    106 days to go
81 cars with 143 Drivers and guests
    123 banquet meal tickets sold.

I will have an updated count on rooms from the Embassy Suites in a couple of days but we are very close to a sell out!

Don't Fear! I have made arrangements at another hotel for extra rooms.

There is a room block of 14 rooms per night (Wed-Sat night) at the newly opened Comfort Inn which is less that 1/2 north of the Embassy on the same frontage road. Rate per night is $109.00 plus tax. This is the first year we have ever needed to go beyond the Embassy Suites for our rooming needs. Contact for the Comfort Inn and Suites will be on our website.

    Update as of 1/16/2017
Here are the latest numbers for the upcoming 2107 Texas Cobra Club Spring Meet:
    • 70 days to go
    • 168 Drivers and Guests
    • 97 Cars registered
    • 137 Banquet tickets sold

The Embassy Suites hotel still has a few rooms left from our room block.
    • Thursday, March 30 6 rooms
    • Friday, March 31 4 rooms
    • Saturday, April 01 5 rooms

Go to Texas Cobra Club Spring Meet – 2017 to register and see the agenda.

Deadline for using our room block is March 04th. Any rooms not reserved by that date will be forfeited and will go into the general inventory at the hotel and the new rate will be $239! If you have a room reservation and have not yet registered for the event, please, do so as soon as possible.

Deadline for buying tickets/meals for the Saturday Night Banquet is Sunday, March 26th. I have to turn in a headcount on Monday the 27th. No Banquet tickets will be sold on-site. All meal tickets for the banquet must be paid for online. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you do not purchase a meal for the banquet you are still invited to come and enjoy the presentation, buy raffle tickets, and bid in the silent auction.

We will try something new for Thursday evening (weather permitting). We will have a screen setup in the parking lot and will be showing a full-length feature movie. Bring your lawn chairs and favorite beverage. Not sure if we will have any food out for Thursday or not. Movie should start around 8pm.

Harris Hill Raceway is holding a non-member open track day on Thursday, March 30. Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested in participating in the track event. This event is separate from the TCC Spring Meet. I will post up the fees and safety information in a separate posting.

As in the past due to the size of our crowd, we cannot reserve any additional parking lot space. It will be first-come, first served with trailer parking. If you show up Thursday evening or Friday, there is a good chance you will need to park on the north side of the parking lot. PLEASE understand we are given a certain number of parking spaces. We will have a team in the parking lot assisting with parking. If you need take you trailer out of our reserved space for any reason, do not expect your spot to be saved.

Also, we have found it easier, when fewer planned activities are scheduled. Daily cruises are impromptu and sign-up sheets and maps will be at the registration table.

Thanks and I look forward to seeing y’all in a few weeks.

Getting close! I can't wait to visit with you, even with my chassis still sitting in MA.

You guys with finished cars must be pretty stoked. Hope the weather treats you well, we just got rained on last night in San Antonio.

Beautiful weather. I stopped by real quick just to have a wander around and see if there were any 33's

Lots of roadsters, but it was nice to see the type 65's too. Hadn't seen those in person before.

Hope you bring your '33 when you get it done. That would be cool.
