Heck yeah! That's half of my job, after the machine "talks" to the satellite getting the machine to do what its supposed to. Your job is a whole bunch cleaner though. LOL
This is an interesting thread to read. Mine's a 2007 Silverado Duramax diesel. With an Edge tuner it's kind of fun. Bought it new and probably keep it forever.
Great question. I 3rd my tundra and wife's new suburban. But my work vehicle that I daily is a c130j.

2015 Toyota 4Runner Trail. Great in snow, towing capacity is perfect for my FFR on a Serpent Express, and plenty of room to haul stuff.... especially car parts. And, ultra reliable and decent mpg (low 20s).

My daily is a 1996 BMW 318ti that I bought from a former coworker for $500. I ended up putting another $1500 into it (front brakes, motor, trans & diff mounts, lower control arms, oil filter housing gasket) and it's run great ever since. It had 239K when I bought it about 18 months ago, just turned 260K last month. It's going to need a clutch next month, the throwout bearing started making noise. Previous owner bought it with about 70K on it and he had the maintenance logs from owner #1. Best I can tell this is the factory clutch.
My personal toy, when I'm not playing with FF things here at the shop, is a 1960 Thunderbird convertible.
2011 BMW 135i, got to pick it up at the factory in Munich!
My daily driver is a 2007 Tahoe. Always wanted one...went to the dealer a couple years ago to take a look and passed out with sticker shock :-) Found a clean '07 LTZ with 115K miles on it and really love it. Great sound system, smooth and quiet, and tows boats and UHaul's easily. The gas mileage is pretty low at 16-17mpg, but you can buy a lot of unleaded for $65,000 US :-)
Starting to spend a bit of money for brakes, motor mounts, brake switch, etc, but hope to keep it for another few years. Have heard the 350 motors will go 200-250K miles.

Nice machine
Mine is just the small 1026 but she does everything I need

I'm planning on swapping in a modern powertrain as soon as I finish my Coupe. I love it as a daily, for what it lacks in mpg it makes up for in smiles and fun. I also love that, it being a wagon, it has plenty of room for cargo and passengers. I can load my dogs in it, use it for tailgating or even use it for road trips or to move. That's not something you can do in every classic! If I were to get a new classic for a daily i'd definitely go for another wagon!

Depending on weather my DD is either a 2016 Toyota Tundra

Or a 2015 Indian Chief
Indian.jpg
2004 vw GTI 1.8T, Toyota 4Runner.
My first choice is my MK-II FFR. I take it everywhere I can as often as I can. When it might rain I put the top up, I'm still working on eliminating the last few minor water leaks at the header. When the wife wants to go somewhere, and is concerned about her hair, we take my '04 F-150. She has a Boxster that I drive when it needs service, gas or tires.
Regards, Rick.
2015 Ford F-150 4x4 Lariat Double Cab with a 3.5L turbo charged V-6. I really never expected to drive that big a truck with that small and engine, but it really does nicely and doesn't kill me on mileage. At 19.5 feet long, it is ridiculously long. I can't get it into the garage which is only 19 feet deep. I hate parking it, especially when I try to park it in San Diego. But getting to San Diego, there's nothing better than this "Cowboy Cadillac". Comfortable, smooth, quiet. A great long distance truck. Even heated and cooled seats!

I also drive a Jeep Wrangler (All the gee gaws that come with the Sahara sure are nice but I didn't want the hard top). This is my third Jeep.
I had one of the square headlight & no air conditioning versions back in 1990-1995, which I bought in Boston MA. I drove it to Monterey CA when I moved, and it was like sitting inside a bass drum with Beelzebub himself banging on the soft top for 3500 miles. I sold it when I moved from Monterey CA to Las Vegas NV. After my blood thinned out that first summer, I thought "What a mistake."
In 1999 I bought another Wrangler in Wash DC which I took with me to Montgomery AL and back. I sold it in 2007 when my son was born. About a week after I sold that one I said to myself "What a mistake."
Never again.

I kind of change around a bit. I have a 2015 F-150 for hauling stuff or pulling the car trailers. I switch around with my 2004 Porsche 911 Turbo, 2015 Z06, or one of the Corvairs. My favorite cruising car is the 66 Corvair Corsa 4 speed with A/C and power nothing. The MK4 is pretty new and right now I'm upgrading the front suspension and adding Wilwood brakes. It had the 87-93 Mustang spindles, lower control arms and brakes, and that was a big negative. Putting on new spindles, FFR lower control arms and the brakes. It will never be a daily driver because I'm in Florida and rain is almost a daily thing other than right now. Being retired means my daily driver is dependent on my mood. Life is good
2016 Mazda Miata (ND) or the wifes '15 Toyota Tundra
Holden Commodore. (aka 2015 Chevy SS)
DD is a 2015 Chevy 1 ton diesel crew cab long box. Its a boat but I love it. 105K miles on it already.
