Trying to install hangers for side pipes tonight. It looks to me like the pipes are at least 1 1/2 in too low. Unless I am doing something really wrong. Looking for advise.

that does look way to low. Is it possible the sidepipes are on the wrong sides of the car? If that is not the problem, can you loosen the exhaust manifold bolts and j pipes a little so you can shift the position?
Agreed that looks too low. Same on both sides? Having said that, (1) Highly recommended by multiple builders to only use one bolt on the sidepipe tab. Allows it to pivot and not break the weld. Might help... (2) Don't see your body installed. You really shouldn't be trying to fit the sidepipes or hangars without the body in place.

Are you using J-pipes?
If you are and you loosen the 2 bolts where the J-pipe attaches to the side pipe you can move the pipes around a lot. I fitted them loose and mounted the hangers and then went back and tightened the bolts.

Not using J pipes. Have headers. My DS pipe ran out from the chassis and had to put shims in to bring the end of the pipe in and straight. I installed smaller bolts to rotate the tip also as it was 2” lower on the DS. But I also noticed my pipes on both sides are about an inch lower than the 4” frame tube. Should I be concerned about that?

I highly suggest you wait till body is installed. You can then get some side pipe wedges from Breeze if needed.
I'm not to this point; however, these are the shims that Mark Reynolds (Breeze Automotive) sells.

They may make a huge difference in the angle of the dangle, or maybe not, but are worth looking at.
I would contact Factory Five customer service directly and ask if there may be a problem with the bend in your headers. I had purchased my headers from factory five, and there was a delay with delivery because of a problem with them. I think mine were manufactured by Hooker, as they came in a Hooker box. Factoryfive contacted me before they shipped out to tell me there was a fitment problem, and that they were sent back to the manufacturer. When I finally got them, they fit perfectly.
My driver side was fine but my passenger side was low, not quite as low as yours but close. I just cut a small, about 2", flat bar of 1/8" aluminum, drilled 2 holes and attached the end of the bracket to the frame.

Have you checked your pinion angle yet? If not you may need to add a 5/8 to 3/4" spacer under the transmission mount to get the proper pinion angle (so the drive shaft does not bind) which will also raise up the rear of your pipes. Just a thought. Scott
I just check my pinion angle and it does need a little correction. I also measured pipe height relative to the 4” tube. Pipes are level and parallel to the chassis but 1/2” lower to the tube. My thought is that I could shim the motor mounts 3/8” and the transition 3/4”. That should raise the front of the pipes and headers as well as th back. The pinion angle now is very slight. Could this work or am I headed in the wrong direction?
Thanks for all of the feedback.

You really need to take the time to get everything above the bottom of the frame rail or contact with a shopping center speed bump, steep driveway entrance or other obstruction can be very expensive.

Hi Kevin. You are absolutely right. I don’t think I can do anything more on it until the body is ready from paint shop. Once it is installed we will know where we are. My hope is the cutout is no so tight I can’t raise the motor a little bit. Calling the painter tomorrow.

Installed after the body is on, will also insure your bracket doesn't hit the body, when the pipes move up and down, whenever the the engine is torqued up. You need to makes sure they clear both the body, and the frame. If the bracket torques up against either, it put's tension on the welded bracket on the side pipes, which can lead to the pipe cracking. The single bolt method can also help alleviate that issue, if the bracket is mounted firmly.
I have also seen where some just use the rubber hanger, mounted on the far end of the bracket, and then up to the frame under the seat. Allows for flexibility, but doesn't offer much for support. Seems to work though..
You can maybe get a few ideas if you look through these images.
