Wayne since you ran power steering in this car, what were your alignment specs? What would you run if it was at S height instead of the R height. I've got the R springs and shocks on my C right now.
Thanks Wayne. Just ordered them. I'm guessing the ones on that car are CF? They look sharp but the interior fiberglass ones should suffice for our needs.
I also ordered mine online, about $172 with shipping. Only available in fiberglass although I did not talk to anyone either.

I was about to ask the same question.
I'm running the #81145 internal scoops for about a year now, only issue is that they require a 4" hose and most of the brake hose out there is 3" so you need an adaptor

Wayne, I think you've just done more to redeem the 818 performance reputation than Factory Five could have hoped for with those lap times and video, great job! Cheers.

I went to Savannah to test out the larger radiator and air to water intercooler. I added 2 smaller heat exchangers on each side of the grill opening in addition to my standard heat exchanger. Coolant temps reached a max of 196 after 6 hard laps. The intake temps maxed out at 160 and 125 with the water/meth injection. Now that's when things didn't go so well. The header wrap had rubbed on the belly pan and some of it came off. The excess heat caused the timing cover to sag until it came in contact with the header and it ignited. It burned the timing belt, alternator belt timing covers and PS feed hose. So my solution is to use the DEI gold foil heat sheets on the timing covers, ceramic coat the header, wrap the headers with the DEI Ti wrap, put the form able sheet heat shield over the wrap.

Holy Cow! Obviously the engine wasn't running when the timing belt burned up. You're lucky you're not rebuilding a trashed engine.
Crazy!

I was going to wrap my headers and all exhaust with this. But I never implemented it.
Right now I am running with the factory header shields.

Looks like you are hooked up on the Roebling Race line. Some odd turns there especially the off camber one. The acceleration up the front straight seems crazy! Are you on the same VIR tires? Is one of the goals FFR has with this to document your setup and determine if it is transferable to others who trying to make things work on the track?
You are making it look easy!
Not sure why nobody asked this question. The photo attached shows the gas filler on the passenger side. What was done? Any chance of this being a future option? If this becomes an option, what would the new fuel tank look like?
Fuel cell on the passenger side is the reason I believe.
I asked that same question a while back. Wayne said because the fuel tank was in the passenger area.
The fuel cell is where the passenger seat would be so the filler got moved to the right side.

What are the alignment specs for this car Wayne sense it's running a power steering setup?
Man that is exiting to watch. you scare some drivers right off the track!

Wayne, you wrote, "The header wrap had rubbed on the belly pan and some of it came off. The excess heat caused . . . "
Since I don't think this happens a lot on OE Subaru cars, what's different? A lot of turbo Subaru cars have header wrap, I think. Do the turbo OE cars have a belly pan?
Obviously, you are pounding it hard, but is there any other cause for the excess heat and damage? And, how can others avoid it?

Thanks, Wayne. I've been planning a belly pan under my engine, so now I'll re-think it. I have a wrapped Perrin EL header and my street machine certainly has much less boost, stress, speeds and a less-skilled driver than your 818R. But, a heat shield will be a good project for me.
BTW, I'm really enjoying your successes with the FFR 818R! Thanks.

Sorry if this was already noted on the areo package but can I ask:
1. How wide from end plate to end plate is the APR GT1000 wing? I believe they come up to 71” wide. And what AOA is used?
2. Fronted splitter which one? I assume it’s the FFR race. For the front splitter how much lip stick (distance from bumper edge to leading edge of splitter) out are you useing? And the verse how much from the front bumper to the rear of splitter? Also assuming the least amount of ducting in the front is being used ie duct above splitter blocked off?
3. The rear quarter panel duct or vent frame or whatever you call it are those avsilable or where these one offs?
Thanks and keep up the good work!
