    God, I love retirement

It is even more fun when you link up with those of similar status with equally interesting toys and go for a cruise during the week. In the photo below and from left to right, Mike (Mikey Likes It), John (John Tongish), and Des (runner55) joined up this morning in Mission Viejo and headed over Ortega Hwy. to Hemet for a breakfast snack. Then we turned south on Hwy 83 to Hwy 79. This photo is us at Dudley's Bakery at the intersection of 79 and 78.

As we pulled in to the parking lot an animated woman with a very expensive camera came running up wanting to take our picture (correction, she wanted to take pics of our cars). While inside buying bread (Dudley's is known for their many tasty varieties) and a soft drink, she was showing the pics on her camera screen to the gal behind the counter. It wasn't hard to tell who were the stars today.

After our photo op we headed west on 78 to the 5 and up the coast back to Mission Viejo. I pulled in to the drive around 1:30pm, had some lunch and got a quick nap in before dinner.

I know retirement is not for everyone but someone has to do it, and we three are certainly up to the task.

    John, for Mike and Des

I 100% agree...now if I can just get my car fixed or build another one....so I can get back to the good life.

John, glad to see you are enjoying yourself so much in retirement. I followed your tour of US race tracks with great envy. I just hope when I eventually get there that my retirement can be so interesting and fulfilling.
