    Power steering rack fitting help

I have the power steering rack from FFR and ordered the AN fittings from Breeze. The fittings did not come with o-rings or crush washers of any sort. The rack does not seem to have a land for an o-ring in any event. Should I just use a good sealer and tighten them well? What is your advice?

    Thanks, Joel

They need to have the O rings. I've bought several sets from Breeze and the rings were always on the fitting, don't know why yours aren't? Right, the rack is not actually machined for them but they will seal.

    A few points:
-You can get O rings at a good hardware or parts store. They need to fit snug on the shank of the fittings (the smooth area between the threads and the hex).
-Knock down or ease over any sharp edges at the beginning of the threads in the rack so that the O ring doesn't cut.
-Do not overtighten the fittings into the rack or you risk displacing or cutting the ring. Just snug enough to compress the O ring is all you need.
    -No sealant.

    Jeff
